The storysincere

Making this tape took an entire Saturday. I sat beside the radio with one finger on the record button, waiting for a song I could never remember the name of.

There are awkward silences between the tracks. A weather forecast appears halfway through side A. At the end, you can hear someone calling me for dinner.

I no longer have a player. I can still hear exactly where each song begins.

An ordinary thing, given extraordinary attention.

Nothing ordinary
about what we keep.

A ticket. A chipped cup. A watch that no longer works. Some objects matter for reasons no label can quite explain. This is a place to try.

This early exhibit explores how a photograph and a few words can give an everyday thing extraordinary attention.
